Belgians are also Dutch. Take my word for it, I lived there. Even if they try and deny it! But hello new reader!
Danny: I’m Dutch and the Belgians really are not Dutch. They (rightfully so) are proud of their own country. Just like the Dutch like theirs. The language sounds similar but you can always tell one from the other, if not by accent than by expressions. Belgians have this really nice way of saying things

Now that you mention it, there did seem to be a great divide when I was there. I miss the Netherlands like you wouldn’t believe! But thanks for the comments and the clarification! I was overzealous and terrifically excited to see the Dutch language! haha
That little movie did make my day. I wish they’d do something like that in Amsterdam Central Station
But it’s in ruins due to ‘renovation’ and all, so not very likely anytime soon

Wow, those renovations are still going on? I lived in Rotterdam for 4 months about 3 years ago now and I can’t believe its been that long ago! I miss it terribly.

My partner’s parents are from Friesland. Their language is entirely different from Dutch.
